On Base and Luxury trims, the CT6 receives a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine as standard. Producing a peppy 265 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, the juice is sent to the sedan's rear wheels by way of an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The available turbocharged 3.0-liter V6, by comparison, is on another planet entirely. Optional on the top-tier Premium Luxury and Platinum models, the turbo-V6 twists out a truly titanic 404 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque.
