Cadillac Explores Compact Luxury

As the tastes of drivers around the world evolve with the ever-climbing price of gas, automakers like Cadillac are exploring new ways to appeal to this sense of efficiency that's in high demand. And while we here at Dellenbach Motors know that there will always be a place for larger luxury vehicles like the Cadillac Escalade and SRX, we think Cadillac has done a great job in developing a compact luxury car too.
Known as the 2013 Cadillac ATS, the vehicle is built on the new GM Alpha platform. This means that the vehicle will feature a 2.5-liter Ecotec I4 engine, which produces 200 horsepower. Of course, it's worth noting that the vehicle will be available with a 318-horsepower, 3.6-liter V6 engine as well.
The new luxury model from Cadillac was recently unveiled at the 2012 North American International Auto Show, and to say that everyone was impressed by it would be an understatement. "It is strategically a very important product for Cadillac," said Ed Kim, director of industry analysis at AutoPacific Inc., a Tustin automotive consulting firm. "Cadillac wants younger buyers to come into the fold, and they hope to move them up through the brand."1
So will you be partaking in a little compact luxury in 2013? Or are you more inclined to stick to the current new Cadillac lineup? Everyone here at 3111 S. College Ave. Fort Collins, CO 80525 would like to know, so make sure to leave us a comment with your thoughts on the matter.
